This post is made to include a full list of the tested VST-Instruments which work correctly under Skale Tracker v0.76 or higher.
Please help us by testing and reporting here the plugins that seem completely or partially functional. I will join the plugins you list in here to have them together in a single post.

I count on your collaboration to make a useful list. Thanks a lot.

Hi there

First of all I have to say is that skaletracker is my favourite tracker around before I worked with ft2 but now I've found skale!

Because of that can anyone please help me with a question as follows:

If i make a track and wanna change the samples in the mixer with vst i's or whatever and when I save the whole track, why it doesn't save my changes with vst's or my vst's in generell?

Hope you can help me out and max respect!

Cheers Steve

Pressing the X button doesn't close the VST's edit window, maybe it's not supposed to. ESC should do the trick.

VST own edit window is closed by clicking the skale window so that it becomes active and then pressing ESC. But why doesn't my VST instruments produce any sound?

Working VSTi's (v.0.80a):
- plugsound FREE, cool free sampler (doesn't save presets though).
- Fatsondo, big analog synth.
- Crystal, massive synth with soundfont capability (!!!)
- Augur, very versatile synth with many different waveforms
- Ganymed - excellent free subtractive fm-synth (cannot save presets)
- GalactiX - also an excellent synth with 6 lfo's and great sound
- Sfz (doesn't save presets, need to exit with ctrl-esc first, then esc)
- Asynth

Download these and more at www.kvr-vst.org .

Not working:
- Lizard
- Gargoyle (loads normally, keyjazz is possible also but crashes if you try to play back a pattern )
- Oberon (crashes)

I downloaded a lot of freeware VSTi (nearly 50). Hope some of them work fully without problems. Will release a this-is-working-list of all the free plugs I found.
I think I will only search for freeware. Everybody can use this stuff. And we do not have to pay for it .

Big test begin of free VSTi.
Test: 140 Instruments.
I think at least there will be working nearly 30%.
I will release the list of the VSTi on www.vereiser.de in the next week, also a backup of the VST list (135 fully working freeware vsts (test of 175 Plugs)).

Note:
Maybe not every plug, who is listed here, works on your machine. Even a same operating system as the testing one is no guarantee whether a VSTi works or not.

It would be nice to see some updates to these lists... Too many of the links are dead.
