Just some things that come to mind:

- Do you have a recent version of directX installed?
- Are there other programs running, which might conflict with the video or sound?

i test skale without any program of graphics and/or music running.

yesterday i was 1:30 hours using skale with sounds in .wav format and no problems.

the problem is with SF2 sounds.

I haven't really tried working with sound fonts in Skale for quite some time. I remember it was still a bit buggy.
Did you check with different sound fonts? The problem may be with particular sound fonts, while others might work.

yes the problem is with SF2 that have more than 1 instrument in it.

SFonts have a Bank number (from 000 to 127) and a intrument number (from 000 to 127) into each bank.

when i use 1 bank (the number 000) and 1 instrument into it, in several minutes of test skale donīt crash.

when i use a bank (the 000) with more than 1 instrument skale crashs quickly.

i will continue testing..

.................

other thing..i use VIENNA 2.3 to create SF2. it can save in format 2.0 and format 2.x

i will testing the diference of both formats.
(by the moment a bank with 2 instruments in both formats crash..)

Hey,

Try to use Akai instruments! They work very well.
SF2 support is indeed lacking, probably because SF2 standard is so loose, similar implementation problems as in VST for example.

no, that sounds strange... i never had problems like this one with IE or any other browser or application.

Can you tell me some details of your system? Hardware, Windows version, etc?

greets,

hmm, well, those specs look okay, no problem to run it on that.

Have you had similar problems with other applications? Or just Skale? Mybae also with games?

You used Skale in windowed mode?

greets.

with other music programs and other aplications no problems (included games). i had used skale in windows mode and full screen and crashes in both modes.

it is sad but i want to use skale and his soundīs quality is incredible and superb and also i used fastracker II and i want to use skale why it is equal to fastracker II but it have problems..

i observe that skale is very stopped in his development and it is very sad why it is a big program and can will be a BIG BIG one..

Search for "Akai s5000/6000 instruments" or similar on google. Let us know if you find a good site!
