not that important since there are workarounds for it, but in strive for perfection... to reproduce the bug:

- load an instrument
- inside skale, save it under a funny name
- outside skale, delete it
skale will still show the file even if it don't exist anymore
- inside skale, load the inexistent instrument.

after this step, sometimes skale will crash, but more often it will show a junk name in the instrument list.
then, the instrument slot will keep on behaving strangely: it will refuse to show correct instrument name even if a new valid/existent instrument is loaded, or will trigger a crash somewhere in the future.

in the end, skale should check for the existence/readability of a file before trying to load it.

the workaround for this is to click on another item, say, sample, and then click again on instrument: it will refresh the file list and the missing file will no longer be in the list. maybe refreshing every time the skale window gets focus ?
