Hey guys, fixed the fullscreen mode issue, but noticed that at high speeds the pattern does not catch up correctly. About halfway down the current pattern , the bottem seems to 'push up' and is not in time with the rest of the song.
One of the main reasons why I use Skale is because ALL TRACKERS (except for the true DOS trackers) have this glitch. EVEN RENOISE. And because my music relies on very fast and precise sequencing (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I9BfB9HMWlc example of something I made in FT2) I choose Skale.
Now that I have completely ditch Monopoly$oft, I am using skale on ubuntu.
So anyway, I just wanted to report that it gets a little laggy bpm 240 speed 3-2 and 1.
You can test on one of my skms.

hi oxygenfad,
there are chances that the issues you are experiencing are related to the operating system rather than the application: are you using the realtime kernel on your Ubuntu installation?
using the RT kernel is crucial for heavy DSP applications such as Skale or Renoise. We at renoise.com have written an extensive FAQ which gives lots of hints about how to improve performances under Linux, performing tasks such as enabling reatime threads for ALSA, using PAM architecture and so on.
You can read a general tutorial here.
This is expecially true if you are using Ubuntu 8.04, which showed to have worse multimedia performances (because of the introduction of Pulseaudio, amongst the other reasons).
By the way, in my opinion there is little need for such a mad speed in order to compose music like you do, but this is a completely different topic, and I am not here to claim I know trackers bettern than you.
Anyway, Renoise 2.0 (which will be released very soon) will give even less reasons to this style of tracking. _________________ It-Alien,
