The link beneith contains a skm file with a song that i wrote just to show the way i use skale. I would like some advice (or tips/tricks) about my approach. I'm not a real musician.. i cant read a note at all. Just using my ears . I think the main problem with this track is the volume and panning of the instruments.

Love to hear some comments.

Greets!

I checked it.

I think, the main problem is your using of to much instrument slots. This is one thing I did wrong a long time before too.

My proposal:
A drumset with base, snare, hihat, toms and crash uses at least 5 instrument slots at all. If you use more it is complex handle the mixing of a set.
Ok. You will say, I need varieties in my snare sound. An instrument could have at least 256 samples. So this should be no problem.

Download the file and you understand what I mean. It's a drumloop.
