I get the following when I try to run Skale on Ubuntu Dapper Drake.

./Skale.x86: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Presumably Skale is linked against a different standard library than I the one on Dapper. Does this require a re-link to fix? Or is my system just screwed up?

Thanks

hi again. thanks for the info, seems obvious that the 'libstdc++.so.5' is missing.

i read, after googling a bit, on a forum [here] about a similar problem with Ubuntu. They provide the following fix:

You need to install the "compat-libstdc++-33" package.
(It contains the two files, "/usr/lib/libstdc++.so.5" and "/usr/lib/libstdc++.so.5.0.7").

Code:
yum install compat-libstdc++-33

good luck.
