Yes I've noticed that skale can crash on occassion with Sound Fonts. I've been able to create and use them successfully but not without problems. I recommend you stick to creating .XI or . ...

You need to make sure the VST is setup correctly through synthedit, input-output, and I usually use some kind of funky custom graphic to make it origional.
